Has anyone tinted the sunroof?

In the hope we might get some sun this summer, I'm considering getting the windows tinted. I wondered if anyone who had their windows tinted also got the sunroof tinted?

There’s already quite a tint on the sunroof - I don’t suppose more tinting would hurt but if I did tint I would look at the side windows as a priority First

The sunroof is having a Okey degree of tinting. But the rest is just clear glass, so I got all 8 windows tinted after just one month of ownership.

Down here in holey Ozone land, I’ve found the tint and blind pretty effective. The other windows definitely need tinting though.

It's a bad idea to tint the already tinted sunroof as it can cause the sunroof glass to crack. An Authorised car window tint company should be able to Answer your questions in Australia.

Or wherever you are in the world lol. All the side windows and a strip of window tint put on the top of the front windscreen would definitely benefit all Australian owners with our hot and bright sunshine and summers.

I asked MG a while back and they confirmed that the SkyRoof has tinting & UV filter but none of the windows do.

The front windows and windshield is tinted with 30% the rest is darker with 70% tint. So nothing extreme, just so I can save on the sun-lotion and ice-creams for the family?

To some degree it is correct, but that is only if you are having double glas/thermo Windows.

well Jeps, I'm talking specifically about the sunroof, and the advice given to me by the window tinting company was not to add additional tint film to the already tinted sunroof, this advice applies to Australian owners. I'm sure you can get advice in the country where you reside on this matter.

Ozpete5000, I guess you are dealing with other temperatures then we are, especially right now, this morning -7 degrees here in Denmark ?
