There are 3 sets of driving data / efficiency / statistics, 1- From the start of your current journey, 2- From when you last charged, 3- The accumulated totals, and they can all be reset to zero.

I don't know what the exact intervals are, but if you open up the charge screen, and go to the third tap (efficiency I think it's called) you can see your power consumption over the last 50 or 60 km I think.

The displayed consumption is definitely not as fast changing as it is with most ICE cars, so I'm assuming it is calculated every so often, but not sure if that is distance based, or time based.

Question still stands, as nobodoy seems to know the answer... So... how does GOM calculate it's reference consumption? Is it last 50kms (or 30 or 100) or is it time based ?

I doubt that all they take is total trip consumption and divide that consumption with available kWh. As that would be highly inacurate over longer period of time.

Yes it does, taking into account ambient temperature and battery degradation. I've seen it happen in my own car ... after a period of heavy usage in winter the 100% range may have been 140 miles; resetting the Total trip raises it to about 190 miles.

Yes it is possible to reset the range estimation or GOM (Guess O Meter).

The range is worked out by the car knowing how far the car has travelled and how much of the battery has been used then calculating that usage until the battery is empty. This calculation is continuous so if you turn on the heating or drive like you stole it the range will drop.

If you've done a lot of efficient driving around a city and then you are going on holiday using the motorway I'd reset the GOM. After several miles of motorway driving it'd give a more accurate range estimation without the result being skewed by the previous efficiency.
