Improving interior lighting in MG4

I have looked for his link under the video but not sure how to fine bulbs to make an order he talks about a link or referral code But I can’t find one does anyone know where to find it he says he only gets a few pence for it but pence make pounds and he deserves it for taking the time so if I can find his code I will use it

Be interested to hear if these dim, the std filament bulbs smoothly dim once the door is shut. Do these behave the same?

They won't I'm afraid. See post #1 in this thread.
LEDs will generally only dim if controlled by a pwm (pulse width modulated) voltage, rather than an analogue voltage fade which I suspect exists.

Wondering if this bulbs in my link fit? or too long to fit the plastic cover after? They are 26,9mm long and the one in video is 26mm..
Orange / Amber interior lights inside my orange MG4 would be porn :p

Bah, not a happy bunny. The led bulbs were supposed to be delivered tonight, but the delivery has been flagged as "Delivered - handed to resident". Not to me they flippin' weren't!! Guess there's an Amazon driver who has a bright interior light in his van now 🤬🤬

Wonder what the heat output from these LED lights is like? Wouldn’t want them causing any damage to the fitting / plastic light cover over the long term…

It'll be less than a filament bulb for sure.
Should be, but I guess it’ll depend on the quality of the fitting. The ad for them points out that they have better heat dissipation than other LED bulbs, so that makes me wonder…

Hi guys after agreeing with you tonight Bernie about the leds not dimming I found this on I think it Toms Facebook link I don’t do face book but it pop up on my phone took a screen shot as it wouldn’t let me copy and paste I think maybe in his video he was switching the blubs on and off with the reading light switches but in between them two switches there is another switch which controls door opening perhaps that side of it is fitted with The PWM you mention in your post so it does appear to work on that circuit seems like two circuits one for reading lights and one for door entry but both using the same bulbs what do you think?

.... just a little warning as Tom in the video noted the new LEDs are slightly thicker, so are stiff in getting them in, I've managed to push the holder up in its hole - I'm sure I'll resolve it (but am waiting for the temperature to rise a bit today!!)

It might be better to wait until the weather warms up before trying to do this modification as the plastic will be more forgiving and less likely to crack/break.

Interesting. Unfortunately, as I've mentioned, Amazon have delivered my bulbs to goodness knows who so I can't test it out for myself yet!
As soon as it warms up enough to go outside, I'll check what happens with the filament bulbs. It could well be that there are two different circuits.
In fact, thinking about it, it would make sense for there to be. It is useful for the lights to fade when using the centre switch.
I wonder if the car was designed to have led bulbs from the start but, as so often seems to be the case with these cars, they didn't have any to hand when they built them 🤔

Have you contacted Amazon customer services?
I had a similar thing happen to me and after complaining I got a £5 voucher and if the items didn't turn up I would get a refund. 2 days later the nurse who looks after one of my disabled neighbours found the package by their back-door and brought them round.

Yes I have Ian, they told me to wait 24 hrs for the neighbour, if that is where the package went, to bring the package round (or for me to trek the streets to try and find it), then contact them.
I just hope the vacuum cleaner we've ordered arrives safely!!
