Is Sodium Ion about to hit mainstream

That will be the true test, an EV of the same make and model, one with what ever the normally fitted battery is and the other with a CATL Na+ battery.

Theoretically, the battery heating would be turned on, they are good down to -40*C, so the -20*C should concern it much.
The other theoretical difference would be the recharging speed, the Na+ shouldn't limit charging speed because the battery is cold, unlike the Kia EV2 that limited the charging rate from the EV9 ......
As I say, I'm looking forward to seeing just how they perform in the real world in test like that .... but the battery thermal protection and charging limiting due to low temp would need to be rest .......

How does all this fit in with the recently posted on here video of range testing (and charging) in Norway.
In real life as opposed to theoretical lab conditions the BMS surely helps sort all these problems out.
P.S. Not disputing @T1 Terry great knowledge at all, just curious as to how how it translates to living in a cold country in real cars, or even any car anywhere.

This might answer that question better Everything Electric and the launch of the Na+ battery @ -30*C
