@Archev - well it is Valentine’s Day, and also the birthday of the person who will be accompanying me, so a treat is in order for us both, I think.

I’m only jealous . And I must confess I searched and searched Tesco’s shelves for dark chocolate and ginger this afternoon. (I was totally unsuccessful so I needn’t worry about my deceit slipping out to my daughter, my phlebotomist or my diabetic nurse )

@Archev - I don’t think I’ve seen it in Tescos either. But they seem to have something against ginger anyway. They used to sell ginger ice cream. Delicious. Ginger jam - very good in porridge. Gone as well.

Well as a onetime (now faded) ginger carrot top I think that’s terrible.

The best ginger is grown here in Australia, Buderim Ginger Welcome to The Ginger Factory | Sunshine Coast, Yandina QLD For a real treat, a jar of ginger stems in ginger syrup ..... You can't really hog them all down in one go, the flavour goes on for quite a while and flows up through the nose where the very best flavour tasting senses are ........

Now I have to hunt down a jar of it

And Darrell Lea Dark Chocolate Coated Ginger 200g | Darrell Lea make the best dark cholate ginger ..... Well, they did when the factory was in Rocky Point Road Kogarah, just on the south side of Sydney central ..... it was within walking distance of my aunties place (well kids walking) and it was the highlight of the Christmas holidays to go on a factory tour ......

So it’s the good stuff ? and we sniff it backwards ? OK I’ll bring the porridge of which I’ll share and the spoons carved from the white Stags antlers at midnight

Now remember - don’t tell anyone else about it or they’ll all want some (unless they bring the high strength chocolate - over 90 % please )

I'll order in extra ready for when you arrive, plus the really good ginger marmalade and ginger jam if the make it, I guess that must be more runny and mince ginger instead of thinly sliced piece that are in marmalade .....
