Good idea, I think the South Coast gets much more sun than the rest of the country, so you should do well if you haven't got too much shade from tall trees or other buildings.
Loads of companies do solar these days, Octopus and Wickes for instance but you can probably find a good local firm.
There are still the odd cowboy lot around but should be easy enough to avoid. Just make sure they are MCS approved.
Also lots of good advice online, such as from "Gary Does solar".
@NLMGSAN, it is odd that the monthly milage over the raw power inputs from home and public charging give a mls/kWh efficiency higher than the on-board computer, and I questioned it too.
How the car algorithms work out the figure presented we don't know, but I just worked mine out from data I collect from my EVSE and Public charging stats over the milage for the month.
I've had similar figures for the past 3 month's submitted from a spreadsheet loosely based on one by @KnightRider for his IM 5.
As @wattmatters put it:
"They are both actual, just measuring different things"
Hello.
I'll be using this thread to share information with you about my MG4, and at the same time I'll use it for myself, for keeping track of its mileage, etc.
As a small introduction, I got my MG4, new from the dealership, at the beginning of June 2024.
It is a MY23 MG4 Standard (with the 51kWh LFP battery), in Diamond Red. It was on R33 software when I picked it up.
As for the stats, I'll be keeping track, monthly, of the following:

I'll also share more information (like issues, servicing, etc.) as it happens.
Feel free to ask me any questions.
The 18.7kwh/100kms is ball park to what we are getting, but a lot of our driving is at 100km/h to 110km/h on the freeway, and that does drop the efficiency quite a bit.
I was caught in strong winds for a trip recently to an Electric vehicle meeting and the 150km trip resulted in an average of 51kwh/100kms, made it home with a few % left from the 51km/h battery, that will stuff up the long term energy use for a while
