MG 4/Mulan after crash. Drive with deployed airbags. Crash reset. Cable and Software.

I brought a salvage car airbags gone off but one of the guys on this site sorted it

Unplug srs module under front part of central console. Get off 12 v battery till the car all systems turn off (there is 12 v super capacitor). Install 12 v battery and you have less than 1min to go in ready mode. After if it switch off you must repeat the procedure.
Hi chiMol do you have have radar on for the car to start . My hv battery shut down . Radar is smashed any ideas

I was with no radar too. But the radar is giving additional errors. When the error count is over a threshold it can not run. Did you check your fuses? I think that there was something blown in my car under passenger/right side. Missing headlights give the error code too ( this code is auto-cleared when lights are connected).

You need to locate the crash module, I believe it is under the centre console. When you unplug it, the car will start again, then you can go through the steps to replace the airbags and other devices that have triggered, like the seatbelt tensioners and what ever was damaged in the original crash.
Once you get all of those sorted, you can get the crash module reflashed so you can get all the boxes ticked to go and get it registered if that is your intention ...... but do the reflash and plug in after you have everything else fixed, if you don't, it will just trip the crash module and you will be back to where you started ......

Hi Terry
I have a mg4 xpower front end damage come into our workshop today. The airbags are deployed am i right in thinking if I unplug the airbag module the car will start and drive? The customer doesn’t want to claim on his insurance so we need to get the car up and driving before we spend any money on it.
We repair lots of evs I know with the bmw ix3 we had to remove the hv battery and replace the sme and pyro fuses then code it all in at great cost and time.
Thanks
Scott

Congrats for the job done!! I'm still working with mine. Last week i could see “ready” on the screen, and now i don’t now what's happened but I’m not able to set the car to ready!

I changed airbags, seatbelts, new impact sensors… I am waitting for the camera bumper, but radar is in it.
All the lowest part of the bumper is missing, and i think i need an extra module part.

Can someone help me with all the lights on i still have? Why now i can’t set the car to ready mode.

From Barcelona, Spain!
