The Sales Manager told me that if the problem isn't fixed soon, they'll give me a new car.

At first, they said the problem would be fixed with a software update, but the reality is I've been without a car for 22 days now.

My problem is exactly the same🤬 I have been asked to wait two weeks but if not fixed by then, I will reject it. Already have £150 cash for the inconvenience.

Welcome to the forum.

It seems that a batch of vehicles has this issue. Some in the UK have rejected the car and handed it back to the dealer, either a full refund or new later car.

Can you do that in Spain?

I would take up your dealers offer of a new car.

Initially, the manager of the Seville dealership told me that if the problem wasn't resolved soon, he would give me another new vehicle. I don't know if they would also refund the money (I financed the purchase with a bank).

Here in Spain, there is financial assistance (4,500 euros) for the purchase of this type of car (to help the environment), and it's associated with the new vehicle. I hope there won't be any problems if I have to change the car.
 
In the UK the law says that the bank sold you the car, in my case Santander UK. That is who I have complained to. They have been very good. If I reject the car, they will tell the dealer to supply another car or if I want, they will refund the money and claim it from the dealer. It is a nice car (when it works!) so I will be happy with a replacement.

Can I ask what version of the Infotainment software the car has?
 
Hi, I posted here before. I have had this problem, in July they told me it is a software issue and my car rejected the software. But yesterday they called me and said the car software is updated and they did battery drain check and all is good. I picked up the car and parked it around 5pm. In the morning at around 9am it was working fine which was impossible before. They said the issue was with IPK backlight which was not switching off and it is resolved. However on Friday I will work from home and car will be left in the parking for 24hr so on Saturday I will post again and tell you if the issue is definitely resolved.

I am another affected by the problem of 12v battery discharge, they delivered the MG HS PHEV car on June 26, 2025 in the city of Seville (Spain) and after 22 days in the MG workshop they still have not found the solution.

What do they say to you about your cars, have you found the solution?

Mine was the same. Got it 22/06/25. Had it a week with battery draining. It was in the garage after that. They found the fault. Apparently part of the dashboard stays active even when the car is turned off. They said it was a software issue but the update never arrived. I got frustrated with the lack of help from them and finally refused the car. I can only recommend you do the same.
 
My last uodate here: since last Tuesday since MG updated my car software I never had battery issue anymore. It looks like the issue was with IPK backlight and it is resolved. My car was in parking since Thursday afternoon and today around 2pm after almost 48hrs it was working fine. Hopefully your car issues will resolve soon as well. Thanks.
