MG4 Centre Screen Stuck in a Loop

Hi

I've just tried to use my MG4 and the centre screen has started to scroll from left to right and back again just like I'm constantly swiping left and right, I have tried to attach a short video but the file is too big. I have also tried getting out of the car, locking it and then unlocking and getting back in, starting it again but there's no difference. I spoke to the dealer to see if there was a way to re-boot the system but they could only tell me to press and hold the home button for 10s. I have done this and the screen goes blank and appears to start again but still no difference. All they could suggest is call back on Monday when they have a technician in and see if they can suggest anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks Martinonline that was very helpful. I have read the thread and managed to get my screen operational again. I've no idea how long it will remain operational but hopefully it'll be ok for a while now.
