If you look at the spectrum of colours on offer, you can sort of see why a trend in certain colours has occurred.
- If price is your primary factor, you'll go with white or blue as they're free.
- Because there are only 2 colours with the premium paint, black and grey, a lot will go with the grey because otherwise the car is totally black inside and out. Also the black obliterates any of the design of the exterior as it's difficult to see.
- And if you want the best paint, with the extra finish, then that's red or orange. But with the orange having been used for most promotional material, and it shows off the car to its best, it's a clear winner.
Those of a certain age, or indeed those that just want a car to drive and not a 'look at me' car, will err towards the white, grey, and red colours.
Being on the other side of 50, I went with grey as my first choice (and vote). My backup choice was red.
