I thought it could be useful to have a thread for software update news. I am collecting my car tomorrow and have a feeling that I will be back several times for software updates. Perhaps we can use this thread to keep each other informed when updates appear (I wouldn't rely on my dealer to be on the ball with this)

I've a system update available on mine dated 6/10/22. But not sure about updating....
Though I doubt it, wonder is there anywhere with the release notes for these updates

I've seen a post on Facebook that suggests that a software update was released two days ago (08/10/2022)
MPU Software Version SW169.29958.1100R10
MCU Software Version 69.1.09

Yeah - I saw similar and that person reported that the update fixed the Android Auto message issue.

I went to the dealer at the end of last week to get them to fix some things and they upgraded the car while I was there to R30:

This has fixed the "pre-production hardware" message when using Android Auto.

From what they told me its a dealer-only update at the moment.

My SE is showing R10 software, don’t have a clue if this is the latest one or not. I’m wondering if the MG4 just downloads and updates the software itself when a new version is released. Although if that was the case why include the “detect new software” button.
