It's great that you have confidence in your MG dealer, unfortunately there are numerous reports of negative dealer experiences in the UK.not many are prepared for ev's locally even mercedes /renault dealer have crap service and after sales . but im sure my local dealer will keep cars up to date as the sales manager is the best guy you would want as your friend to keep you happy with the car after you get it and my one is that .
im glad im not in the uk thenIt's great that you have confidence in your MG dealer, unfortunately there are numerous reports of negative dealer experiences in the UK.
Is the dealer model the same overseas?im glad im not in the uk then
locally he is responsable for the imported carsIs the dealer model the same overseas?
In the UK dealers are their own independent businesses run in their own ways using MG as a franchise, some are standalone and others are part of larger dealer network groups with their own sub-branding.
So you can end up with 4 corporations involved:
- Local dealer
- Dealer group
- MG UK
- MG China (parent SAIC)
Which can be why it is such a nightmare to get decisions, responses and support.
Sounds like a better model then.locally he is responsable for the imported cars
This is a General Distributor model, so the importer then retails the vehicle and is used in markets where the sales numbers don't justify a brand owned wholesaler with a franchised distribution network.Sounds like a better model then.
Yes, I remember someone saying this.I think that there's an updated R33 which fixes what the previous R33 broke.
It's extremely poor practice to issue an update without increasing the revision number (That's what the "R" usually means)I think that there's an updated R33 which fixes what the previous R33 broke.
Emergency patch maybe to some sub-level version number we can't see. But yes, I agree. It's extremely poor practice to issue an update without increasing the revision number (That's what the "R" usually means)
