Since my last software update bricked the car for 2 months I'm staying well away from any dealer ?

I'm taking the same stance. No update without the external temperature display. But also, what does it fix? I want the USB player to work, I want the automatic door locking to be able to be disabled, and I want the radio to stop coming on every time I get into the car. That's the three SE-specific issues. Then there's a string of less critical glitches, from the lights coming on in broad daylight, to the state-of-charge display staying green even when the car is moments from running out of juice. If they're not actually fixing things, what's the point?
It was only a couple of months ago….Either the dealers now know what they are doing or the software has become more stable as I haven't heard of any cars being bricked recently.
Fine, but if everyone does that...It was only a couple of months ago….
I’ll let others Beta test the software first ?
Based on the feedback on the Trophy releases there will be a bunch of fixes in the SE infotainment update, including maybe the automatic lights calibration.
Unless people upgrade, we won't learn what these fixes are. As far I can see there have been a number of updates for the SE but not many reports of people having them installed and what they fix.

How about MG doing it...? ?Fine, but if everyone does that...
Yes, that would be better but they aren't.How about MG doing it...? ?
Not if they introduced bugs you didn't want and auto installed. But if working, yes, this would be a better system. If over the air updates worked it would be easier than having to book your car in and leave it at the dealers for 7 or 8 weeks ?
It’s how Tesl@ do it ?Yes, that would be better but they aren't.

Yes indeed. Feel free to buy one. It’s how Tesl@ do it ?
You have to bear in mind that Tesla are a software company that make cars (shoddily, if my son's is anything to go by) and MG are a car company that probably outsource their software to someone else. It’s how Tesl@ do it ?

I can't argue with the build quality if it's made in the USA ?You have to bear in mind that Tesla are a software company that make cars (shoddily, if my son's is anything to go by) and MG are a car company that probably outsource their software to someone else.
