MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Yesterday I was heading North for Moffat Agri show and two Tangos were heading South within minutes of each other, the second one seemed to be looking my way but not certain.
On my way home, an SE Smurf passed me heading South reg NU73. Gave a wave... totally ignored me. A young couple, she was drinking from a bottle as they went by.😏
I was at The Bridge in Dumfries last week and spotted this black X power parked up. MG Xpower Aug'25 at the Bridge.webp
It is from the same stable as mine.

Just had a chat with Christine at the church, the owner of the 25-plate green X-Power. Yes, she likes it! She's aware of the vibration issue, but thinks the newer cars don't do it. She's not noticing it, anyway.
Has there ever been an instance where someone has actually said "That was me😁"🤔🙂

Saw two black in quick succession in the Didcot Broadway Sunday traffic at lunchtime today.

Waved at both, think the first didn't notice but the woman in the second car seemed to smile in response to my wave.

Later saw another black on the opposite carriageway of the A34 (it going Northbound) but didn't think it worth waving in that situation!

@Everest what do I get?! Just now in new Lidlv car park at Seafield if anyone sees this?!

PS whatever points I get I'm fully accepting of deductions for the parking. Was so fixated on not hitting the lamp post in front that I almost missed the spot !

Drove to Cornwall from Kent on Saturday, I've done a fair few miles since arriving. I've seen red, black, Camden grey, and Smurf but I've yet to see another Tango. It might be because we blend in so well...

followed a black 4 from Falcon to Pinjarrah RD, where I passed it in the other lane. Could wave while passing, but when we pulled up at the lights, I stuck my hand out of the window and waved. Got a wave back through their windscreen.

I've seen more MG4s in the last few days than before I changed my car to the MGS5. Still waving at them though but getting more odd looks 😁

A week in Cornwall and I didn't see another Tango, arrived at Cullompton to grab some Ionity and there was one already on a charger! Also saw one heading the other way at the bottom of the M5; it had a black badge and fangs.

Saw two 4's on our journey along the A40 this afternoon, a white and a black. Waves not obviously returned.

Then at Lidl in West Gloucester a Smurf parked a few rows in front of us not long after we arrived. Would have said hi but the driver didn't get out while I was in the car park.

I know it's not quite on topic but the lack of any real seats and a wooden steering wheel blew my kids' minds. Even just how small the midget was in comparison! (XPower lurking in the background along with a nice Merc 190 le that looked to have been lowered)

I saw a rare sight today at my local Sainsbury’s today. A white SE (like my last one), a red Trophy and my X power, all parked with about 4 spaces from each other. Started chucking it down so didn’t get a photo.

I do like that the X Power is such a rare car. I’ve only seen 3 others on the road since I got mine and on the last encounter the other guy seemed very excited about it. He beeped at me when he drove past me waiting at a junction and flashed his rear fog light when he turned off as I ended up driving behind him 😁

I spent a while tootling around the motorways of the south-east yesterday (Maidstone - the OU campus in Milton Keynes and back). I only saw one other MG, a Smurf heading through Essex towards the Xing as I was going the other way in the morning. As it was early I can only imagine that the sensible folk were enjoying a lazy Saturday morning while some of us were heading to do a bit of work.

I achieved another first with my car; I charged it using my charging cable rather than a tethered charger. The university has chargers on site, run by BP Pulse. I joined the EV Club and got a card when I got the car - this is the first time that I've been able to use it. I needed help though, I followed the instructions on the charger without realising that when it said, "Tap the card" after I'd connected everything what it really meant was "Tap the card when you have finished and want to stop charging". Oh, how we laughed when I realised that I'd spent 20 minutes starting and stopping the charge without getting any juice. Top tip - don't follow the instructions... That electricity costs slightly more than Ionity (51p/kW) but it meant that I didn't have to hit an Ionity charger on the way home.
