MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Had my 4 Xpower for 18 months now and (apart from the demo car) never seen another Xpower around here on Surrey/Sussex border but lots of other spec MG4s
I've only seen one Xpower in Kent, it was in the car park of Maistone hospital (so not close to the Sussex border)

Seen a few Smurfs in Didcot in the last couple of days. Maybe it was the same one both times?

Was on foot this morning when one went past on the by-pass. But yesterday I saw one heading to the crossroads we were going over (it was going up Hayden Road near Didcot station).

There was a Tango going into Maidstone yesterday, I was heading out towards The Village to fill up. We exchanged waves 👋

I went by a couple of Gingers on my uni drive around Manchester and we waved at a few of them. We got waves back. Hopefully some of the people on here :-)

Followed by a smurf today from Halls Head to Erskine, don't think I've seen a smurf before in the wild, quite like that colour.
Waved a couple of times, but he wasn't interested, maybe we had to be blue to attract his attention?

Spotted a Holborn blue MG4 at the Historic Vehicle Day in Bindoon (in the parking area of course). Also saw a baby blue Ora 3, always nice to see EVs making it out of the city.

Spotted a Smurf SM23 reg heading West on the A75 at the Annan west turn off yesterday
I took the opportunity to park next the black X Power at The Bridge last Tuesday.
MidGe and Xpower at the Bridge.webp

Spotted a smurf going N on the M1 in the Midlands this morning and another leaving Leeds this afternoon. Also was repeatedly passed by a grey and a white travelling South around the Derby area. If you saw a black one, it was ME (ME25). Quite a few in one trip.

Did a trip the weekend from the midlands down to Basingstoke (M42, M40, A34, A339), saw several in various colours including a green Xpower
Wasn’t Saturday was it? I went up the A339 from Basingstoke, through Newbury and up the A34 to Oxford on Saturday morning in my green machine.

I then took a coach to Manchester and must have seen every colour and model going on the M40, M42 and M6 going the other way. Lost count in the end, but made the journey more interesting!

T'was indeed Saturday, so could well have been :D

Green Xpower heading into Maidstone this AM and the behind a Tango in the traffic queue on the M25, they headed down the M23

And on the way back, a handful of Smurfs including one on the south circular who waved, and I waved back. A red one and a black on and a liveried SE

Dropping this here at the risk of crossing two separate threads... (Photo taken by my co-pilot!)

Me: Take a picture!
Them: What of?
Me: That car?
Them: Which car?
Me: THAT Car!
Them (taking the photo with my phone): Why?
Me: It's complicated...

Post this in the MG4 commercial thread, too. 🙂👍

Waved at someone in a white MG4 in Appleford this morning. Unreciprocated (fair enough).

'23 like ours. Wasn't paying enough attention to see if it was a trophy or SE.

Pulling into Gilbert's carpark this morning, there was our twin with an empty space beside it.
I said I'll park there and get a pic. Dot said, "she's just leaving," so I said, "we'll wave instead", So we did and got a very cheery wave back.

When leaving from work in London on 2 evenings last week, on the same stretch of road and at the same time I was passed by Grey MG4's. Each was an SE, there were more similarities too with my own. Each had the same area code and year of registration, and the same first letter of the 3 Letters at the end if the licence plate. The only difference with my own except not being trophy models were the last 2 letters which were OE, HT, whereas my own is TJ. Now what are the chances of that, especially when the area region of registration is Oxford some 50 miles away.
