Hello
After seeing some posts regarding the MG4 I thought I would share my thoughts with you .I have an 2024 MG 4 Trophy Extended range .All updates carried out . It is without doubt one of the best cars I’ve ever owned/driven. Never had any problems apart from the windscreen washers been completely useless. Having to reset everything every time is slightly irritating.
I just love driving it .Seems very well put together and the range is excellent.HVAC is a challenge ,but I’m used to it now . My wife drives a 2024 MG3 Trophy again no problems.Lovely drive .

Could not agree more!

Wipers are solveable as you can imagine, the reset of things is only annoying until the car teaches you to stop changing them :)

And then it kinda works.

The last update i got OR a video i watched recently solved the AC for us. But i no longer set it to 28C, after some video that said if we set the home AC to 21C in winter, why set the car higher? Was a valid point and i have not moved from 21C since.

This update did start remebering the distance from other cars, so that is a step back for me.

However, i drove about 20ish different cars for about 2 years before we purchased the MG4. All car shared or rented modern cars, most electric as well.

I fully agree the MG4 Trophy Extended Range is such a great car to drive. All the above are just some nitpicking small stuff, and the only flaws i could find.

Loving our MG4 and all it's 48.000 km driven. Even on multi day/multi week road trips, it never felt like 'enough of this'.

I do feel this kind of vibes are rare here, and thanks for posting your message, it got me thinking we should sometimes stop focusing only on the problems that mainly bring us here.

Drive safe all!

Agree, if you get a good MG4, they are great. 🙂But unfortunately, all are not good. 🤷‍♂️

My only complaint is "shelf" console which covers the cup holders and my knee pokes it the whole drive.

I've had many ICE cars since 1975 and 99% of the time the wife drives (I've been with her 51 years). Since having the MG4 a year ago I pick the keys up first.

I have no idea what you're on about with the wiper blades though.
I also have no idea why when turning a corner the camera comes on, what's that for?

I've got mixed feelings about the camera coming on... whilst it's good to know there are no cyclists coming up inside when I want to turn left, it can be a pain when I'm trying to follow the satnav and it disappears just as I reach the roundabout!

Overall I love my MG4 Trophy ER, best car I've ever driven. But one gripe I do have is the lack of illumination to the sides when I'm driving at night and turning tight corners. Turning left into an unlit street leaves me guessing and hoping that there's nothing in the road to hit! I used to have a Zoe which directed the headlights the way the car was turning and was a great idea.

The camera comes on when you have your indicator on at a junction, this is so that you can see any obstacle, pedestrian, or cyclist by the side of you before you make your manoeuvre.

You can improve the , night driving, tight turn . situation a little bit by putting some black tape on the indicator lens where it wraps around the edge on both mirrors. Not being blinded by the orange flashing which spoils your night vision makes it less of a guess but I agree its still not good.

Interesting. Also I did find that changing my carplay setting to dark reduced the glare from the screen and helped a bit but still not great.

You can turn the camera problem off permanently. I did as it was irritating me and I haven't killed any cyclists yet.

Isn’t that an option you can turn off if you want ? I think it’s below 15mph they come on.
