I'd not thought of pausing the track before I switch off the car - I'll try that later and see if it returns to the same point on the track.
I think that's because the car uses a derivation of Android and puts its own reference files on the USB stick which Windows doesn't like so "repairs" it. I get the same message when transferring files from my Chromebook to my Windows laptop.I leave mine in the car permanently. I have not found a way to get it out of the car without causing that message that says the stick is corrupted and let windows repair it.
Do folk leave the USB stick in the slot between journeys - I heard/read something somewhere that advised not to......

Leaving the USB stick in the car might corrupt some of the files if they are being written to when the stick is removed or the power is turned off although I haven't had that problem.

Nah you get one of those Discmans with the 12 second ESP (electronic skip protection) I remember getting bored in the back seat on long trips and shaking them to see if it was actually 12 seconds hahaWouldn't work with an XPower, the vibration would make it jump tracks![]()
