Morning folks, allow me to introduce myself, I'm Dave a new MG 4 owner.
I picked my 23 plate MG 4 trophy up last Saturday 15th Nov after having done a TON of due diligence etc and overall am very pleased with it.
I'm not new to EV's having driven a lease Polestar 2 for 3 years, however this is coming to and end and I am moving employment hence it has to go back.
The MG4 fits my requirements and budget nicely hence the purchase.
Couple of issues I have noted,
1. irritating TPM warnings although the tyres are spot on pressure wise.
2. an SOS call warning repeatedly appears on the driving screen, at first amber then red.
3. driving recently, passed a pelican crossing with a person stood by the lights on the footpath waiting for them to change when the car decided I should sit closer to the windscreen and braked sharply, unexpectedly and without warning.
The first two issues feel like software glitches, however the third feels like the car is being oversensitive.
Has anyone else had this happen and is there a way of reducing the risk of it happening again?
From the dealer purchase I'm being offered a service package at £22.00 per month all inclusive. is this worth it?
lastly software updates, I am led to believe that at service time these are payable in addition to the service itself, is this correct? Polestar did OTA updates without issues wheras MG need you to attend a dealership. Doesn't make sense to me.
Anyhow here's to a good MG$ experience.
