Newbie... a few questions remain

The default settings are applied whenever the car goes into Ready mode. So as soon as your butt lifts of the seat the car will drop out of ready mode, and when you get back and press on the brake pedal, the car goes back into ready mode and all settings that default to something will do so. This will include LKA.

If LKA is intrusive it may be worth finding out if the car has had the LKA fix (SC077) applied.

This is not always the case. I have had the car at least once every couple of weeks retain the last settings for regen and driving mode even when turned off (locked) for a few hours. What I suspect is happening (possibly due to MG's superb programming skills) is the car isn't fully shutting down and is in fact staying awake and thus retaining what was last set up.

Speak of the devil. Mine's just done this again (retaining settings for Regen). Turned off and put on charge at 9am this morning and not driven until 3:15pm. How coincidental.

Sorry just call me a worrywart. But my friend bought a pickup truck that wouldn't recognize his phone. The only solution for him in the end was to purchase the salesman's phone, which he still uses.

Infotainment screen language(s) can it easily be switched?

My wife's native language is not English so it will be easier for here to change the system to her language when she gets behind the wheel.

Of course she may simply be able to drive away without fiddling.
