That's what I run my Gen 1 car at. Maybe I should see how she rides at 2.8 ?Mk1 is somewhat different & to be honest makes more sense to me - if you're going to load it up, pump the tyres up!

Maybe put your gumshield in for the maiden voyage ?That's what I run my Gen 1 car at. Maybe I should see how she rides at 2.8 ?
Each to their own (as ever)I did see a post where a MK1 came back from service with 2.8 and the owner preferred it
Didn't you get a compressor thing??I'm off to the service station to pump mine up - will report back later.
Dave
Yes he is, there is a compressor that plugs into cigarette charger port. Not sure what you mean AK ? Are you talking about the emergency puncture repair thing ?
Not checked in the boot yet ...
"Usually"?Do you realise how much car and tyre manufacturers spend on tyre pressure management?
The tyres'll chirp louder at the traffic light grand prix too ???Well just got back from shopping. Averaged 13 kw/hrs per 100 kms (equates to roughly 4 miles per kw/hr.
Smoother drive, the car felt 'tighter - less wallowy. Altogether more pleasant.
Go the long way round ?Shame there's no traffic lights between my place and the shops - love chirping tyres. Reminds me of the 'Stang I had many years ago.
In & amongst there are some of us ??Good plan - the members on here are so helpful ...
