I tried following that but nothing happened when I pressed and held on the comma button. Likewise on the fullstop/dot button just brought up an expanded menu of characters.

If you're using R38, that might not work.

It's like the r38 version with Turkish added, no difference.

These aren't global sequential release numbers, they are region dependent

Did Arnold Clark automatically update to R38 in EK without asking at your 2nd service or did you have to complain about the temperature difference?

At the time of 1100R38 I hadn't even asked them to apply it ... I'd simply requested for any required software updates to be applied. i.e. it was at their discretion. I already had 1100R33 at that point which showed the external temperature. (As did 1100R13 which I had prior to 1100R33).

Mine was in 4 weeks ago for the 77 update and I’d asked them to update the infotainment to R38 at the same time. Obviously being Arnold Clark, they said they checked and nothing came up . Going in for 2nd service soon so will try again.

Which exact model do you have? (Profiles now just say MG4). What is your current Infotainment version?

And which Arnold Clark dealer? (Mine is in East Kilbride).

23 plate SE SR. Arnold Clark at Phoenix Retail Park. I bought it from Rutherglen but they were horrendous.

Does this r38 software version require a config update from the dealer or can it be updated yourself via USB?

No idea mate, sorry. R38 fixes the HVAC temperature control range indication, and there's an associated HVAC module update (which can't be updated via USB) so the dealer will have connected their laptop anyway.

can be done via USB, and R40 has replaced now

My SE LR is going in for its third service tomorrow (Tuesday) - is R40 the latest infotainment software version? I'm on R33 currently - it works ok but the cabin heating temp is wrong I think. Is it worth getting it updated? Thanks

R45 is the latest version (which can be installed via USB), but the HVAC issues require an update to the HVAC module via SIPS, make sure they do that on the service if possible.
