Thought NMC was not as sensitive as LFP to the temperature.

NMC Li batteries are technically better than LFP batteries in cold weather and inferior in hot weather.

I drove to work this morning 8° and only managed 2.2 on my 13 mile journey. Thought NMC was not as sensitive as LFP to the temperature.
I drove as normal usually get 3.6
A bit underwhelmed. A good step up from the ZS mk 2 otherwise

Seems an unusual drop as that is not that cold, what else did you have running in the car

I had Android auto on temperature on 22 fan on 3 wipers on auto nothing out of the ordinary battery %84 I was taken back by the reading. But on the flip side the drive home with all the same parameters I got 4.1 temperature 11.5°c

An average of about 3.6 then. I don't suppose it's more downhill on the way back is it? I hope to be getting my MGS5 in a couple of days and I will start my own monitoring.

There I was trying to understand how rain affected the British economy before I realised you meant the journey economy!

Presumably not just the air density but the impact of the rain also adds drag. Then there's the power draw of the wipers. And the fan running to keep the windows clear.

But is the biggest effect psychological, do people turn up the heat in the rain?

This is my data for October.
I'm using the car a lot on highway it could be aroun 60%. Where I drive from 115kmh - 135kmh. Overtaking 150.

The charger did show me I charged 441kwh. Which cost me aroun 55€.

Here's mine for October. 80% short journeys ferrying grandkids around town.

Had the car for exactly 4 months now and still only 1192 miles on the clock. I sometimes wonder if it's worth it . Generally enjoying the car apart from the p-poor DAB reception.

Still very impressed with the efficiency of this car. It's a bit of a fluke that I've scored three identical months but I think it's safe to say next month will see a drop!

I collected it on 11/07/25 so just under 4 months.

It’s used daily and I’ve had a few longish distance trips (Scotland to Anglesey in North Wales has been the longest so far).

I’m planning a trip from Scotland to Switzerland next May, so will rack up some miles then.

Finally seeing a drop now that temperatures are down but this car is still comfortably better than the MG5 month on month.

I think (including my own) its the I presume the speed (average speed?) shown very often is something around the mid twenties ! despite how fast I've driven.
Makes me laugh when all the media are concerned about is 0 to 60 times and top speed.

Yes, MG can do efficiency when they try, good to see.

Yes, low to mid twenties is completely normal.
