Can a faulty earth affect the connection? What are your earthing arrangements?

Did you remove the link between PE and CP? I expect the system is seeing too many earth/ neutral links and the MG is cutting the supply. My rebuild of a cheapy Alliexpress adapter Converting a non working V2L to a 7kW supply from my MG4 is working great and I removed the link because there was a lot of talk across the forums about it causing issues ....Should mention ...home made v2l with 16 amp type 2 charging cable with modified resistor 470 ohm
There was only PP PE link with resistor. Should I remove CP pin?Did you remove the link between PE and CP? When I connect my mg4 to house via change over switch the car stops the supply even when everything is off in house. However the car will run washing machine etc via an extension lead. Anyone know why??....only want to run power for gas boiler TV WiFi fridge Via consumer board for convenience.
I'm guessing that you are joining the car's PE connection to the house Earth. You will probably find that all works okay if you break that link and treat the car as a floating source. This isn't an ideal situation and it would be better to place a large isolating transformer between your car and the house - but 3kWh+ transformers don't come cheap! My MG5 halts the V2L discharge if it detects an earth (PE) leakage of just over 1mA, which is 30 times more sensitive a typical RCD. See post #87 here: V2L Earthing - how?
