Volume button starts radio- Normal?

Hi all,

Recently I've noticed increasing the volume moving the right joystick up also starts the media be that radio or Spotify.

I was driving along and wanted to increase navigation volume on Google Maps but it turned on the radio instead.

As far as I'm concerned this is new behaviour, has anyone even experienced this? Possibly a loose connection?

I know pressing it in starts/stops the audio playing, but I've never tried raising/lowering volume to see if that does anything. I'll try to remember to test this when I use the car tonight.

I belive that raising the volume, raise the volume of the media currently playing. Ie navigation volume is only raised i navigation is currently speaking.

Having the default being radio seems ok. Also remember you do not have on/off button for the radio, only a mute button

I've done exactly as you did when wanting to alter the navigation volume. The navigation voice had finished just before I moved the joystick and the radio came on.

Yes but at the time there was no media playing, so the up button seems to act almost like a play button also.

If you look at the media display (or the top-left of the screen) you'll see the playback icon change between > and || rather than any type of mute symbol.

In my Trophy left/right on the joystick switches on the radio and changes the channel (next up/down in the dab list). This usually happens when I forget I have switched the star function off and, in my case, try to change the HVAC fan speed.
