Wondering if any software updates will be carried out automatically?

Should I ask for them?

Infotainment I'm not too bothered about, but the safety stuff Which? magazine has been reporting on should be done, shouldn't it?

Trophy LR 23 with rear wiper.

SC077 (LKA fix) should be done. If it isn't I'd kick up a stink.

What infotainment release are you currently on? The latest release plus HVAC module update vastly improves the performance of the HVAC system ... well it does on my SE, so I'd presume it would do likewise on the Trophy.

Jumping on this thread... Sorry! I'm off to look at a trophy over the weekend it already looks to have the newest HVAC update but how do I tell if it's got the lka fix installed?

Easy. Does the car try to drive you off the road, or not?
Seriously though, is it worthwhile getting the SC077 update? , I have the 1st gen - so LKA defaults to off, as the LKA literally tries to kill me on my SE (so every service I've requested No Updates) - just come back from a 2 week break where I hired a ford focus Auto, although the car wasn't as smooth to drive as my SE, what was nice was the LKA, which just gave a friendly nudge every now and then 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

After the update mine on the default setting doesn't even give me a nudge, just beeps at me.

That sounds good.

It may only be a small nudge, but most people I know who have one, their default human reaction to the software-induced steering nudge is a disproportionate** reflex steer in the opposite direction, even when they get used to the system and know what is coming.

**Apologies, my brain cannot find the exact word I want here. Basically, the word I'm looking for means that the steering wheel may only make a small movement, but the driver tends to make a larger movement in response to that.

Had our second service today.

Again, not impressed.

Service reception asked for the key, I gave her mine, then as we walked off, I asked Mrs S if she had handed hers in. She hadn't. I went back to the desk with it and told her she would need both fobs so she could fit new batteries.

"Oh, we only do that on the second service."

I told her it was the second service, but wasn't there a schedule to change the battery every year?

We went off to Knutsford and got a call about 2½ hours later.

When we got back, there was no paperwork and a brief explanation that the rear tyres are a bit low but not low enough to be changed yet, as the lease company don't change them until they get to 2mm.

Last year, I got a check sheet with tyre pressures, tread depths etc on it, but this time she just said it would all be on the computer.

I'll get the lease company to give me a copy.

Last time we had it serviced, I was asked to pay, despite it being included in the lease.

I just find things a bit lax and inefficient. And there's never a cheery smile or a Good Afternoon! And never an ask about how we are getting on with the car or whether we are having any problems with it. Which leads me to think they don't really care.

They were very good before the sale though.

I think if we do get another MG, I'll go elsewhere.

Oh, forgot to say, had the LKA update.

On the way home, I was joking with Mrs S that I would start randomly beeping and jerk the wheel and just then the car beeped madly.

But, TBF, no jerking.

Mine does, if I veer towards a lane marker. But it doesn't try to wrench the wheel out of my hands anymore ... if I get to the lane marker it tries to gently nudge the wheel to steer the car back into the lane, but not forcibly like it would previously.

Hoping to get the car SOOOOOOON !!!! Should be delivered to the dealers 3 weeks tomorrow.

I have asked for it to be fully updated before delivery, if I ask to ensure it has the SC077 and R67 (is that the latest?) installed, but is there a name/version for the HVAC fix?

I just really want to try and ensure everything is as sorted as it can be.

R67 for the Trophy is the latest. However when the dealer tried to install during my second service, the car would not accept it. They think there is a bug and said they would contact me when they are ready to have another go.

Depends on which Model Year your car is.. R67 is only applicable to cars before MY24.
