Why Everytime I Start... Settings Reset? Driving + Regenerative Mode

Driving Mode: Normal - and i have to click the star and move it back to custom... Is there a way to save default as custom?

Regenerative Mode: 3 .... Is there a way to set Adaptive or 2 as default?

Everytime i start the car, it goes back to this combo: Normal + 3

This is how it's developed and some of it is required for NCAP 5*

And that's by design ... as there are no driver profiles so the car resets to a consistent state in case it is a new driver next time. Just search this board - this has been discussed hundreds of times.

I might missed it because i spent 1 week reading the whole board about mg4 only before receiving my car...

So i make sure i understood it beforehand

Now that i have it, there are some things i didnt know it would be "weird". Guess its just new and intended as is.

I can adapt to this.

Just didnt know its normal and not an update deficit related.

Also when first getting into the car, it is best to wait until both screens have fully finished loading, before pressing the footbrake and select drive/reverse.
If you dont wait and try to start straight away, you are likely to get different system failure messages.
Its another quirk of the software, once you realise this, it just becomes a normal routine.

Set the 2 * buttons to adjust the modes... couple of presses on each side to change what you need once you start driving

Yeah thats what i did before i noticed this, im fine with normal drive... And tap once the regeneration to get adaptive and fine it goes.

It has been reported by others, like you I have got in and started off quickly without waiting and no warnings. A couple of other times I got various warning messages, which will depend on the specification. I remember getting front and rear cameras not working and an air bag warning,
I just wait now and then start.
If you do get this or cannot select D or R, just get out of the car, lock/unlock and get back in. Everything then resets, its a pain but EV’s full of tech and software its not surprising.

Or you can power off from the car/safety tab on the info screen followed by pressing the brake pedal.

If I notice things not working after starting early - sometimes waiting for the screens is still not enough - and you only realise the radio is not working as you are on your way...
Press and hold the Physical Home button for 20 seconds (it works while driving) and it will reboot everything

Honestly, I often get in and drive off immediately without waiting for anything, just to move the car from the garage on to the drive, and no error messages happen. Conversely I have seen the auto-hold fault appear when I have simply sat in the car and touched nothing.

I think it's totally random.

In my case, I'm fine with Regenerative and Drive mode going back to default - press Star and make them as I want once.

The real issue I'm facing after a few days riding this car...

Its that Custom is not saving Pedal Force setting.

I set it to Comfort and it always resets to Normal...

(By the way .. anyone knows then difference between comfort, normal and sport for pedal force?)

And also, sometimes... Left Star button gets erased - cant find any pattern on why. But it happens...

And I can't change drive mode when I start the car again so I have to set the favorite left once again.

The regenerative is on the right side of the screen and I like it on Adaptive so its on the right star.

Level 3 brakes so much it's not my taste.

And drive mode is more on the left than regenerative so that's for the right star.

My infotainment is on 1100R21... I've contacted my dealership about this and they say there is not an update available. I've seen others in LATAM have 1100R33 - so don't know if it's ignorance, laziness or just the truth.
