Will battery still have charge if I leave my MG4 EV at airport for 2 weeks ?

Going on holiday for 2 weeks and want to leave my MG4 EV in the car park at the airport. Does anyone have any experience of this and will the battery retain its charge?

Oh yes!
I left my car for 7 weeks while in the hospital. And I did not notice any loss of charge

If you are worried use the app to heat the car. It also then charges the battery.

Or plug on the intelligent home charge point and add 5%

Just make sure it has around 60% charge. Don't leave it with too low or too high of a charge for long periods of time.

Yes - six weeks without a problem leave it around 50 / 60 % charge.

Another confirmation that it's fine. I left mine for just over two weeks and the SOC was the same on my return as when I'd left it.

I noticed the long-stay car park had a couple of chargers. Maybe to allow people who arrived quite low to charge up before leaving the car.

Yes, mine spent 16 nights at Manchester Airport and the car opened and started fine

It's the small 12v battery under the bonnet you need to take care of really when leaving I think. As above it's best to leave the cars battery at a SoC between 60% - 80% if possible (that seems to be the consensus advice on here).

I did not look at the MG App once, just in case ! (as that can wake up the car to send info back)

Also "be prepared" seems to be the general advice and so I took a spare key fob battery and a charged up 12v powerbank battery jumper

I left mine with 49% charge for 3 weeks. LFP battery. No noticeable phantom drain.

... you'll be lucky. Leaving the car for more than a day or so without manual opening sends it into 'deep sleep' so you need to be standing next to it to wake it up again ... and the newest updates haven't improved it.

But other than not being able to check up on it as the app is intended, I fully concur with all the reports above about leaving the car at mid-SOC for weeks without loss of 12v power.

I have left my MG4 for up to a month while I've been away several times and the main battery didn't lose anything at all - not 1%

Last year i even gained 1 mile of range

I was checking my Xpower weekly for 5 weeks from Asia earlier this year, no problems with iSmart at all doing that.

Yes, my concern would be the 12V battery. I have a 12V battery monitor set up and I can see there can be a slight continuous drain on that battery when the car is just sitting around. You are wise to take those precautions, I reckon.

It will stay the same charge. The only thing that might discharge is the external battery if you have some accessory connected to the fuse box battery pins, like a dash cam in parking mode.

And even then, it will charge once you start the car and put it in (ready) mode by pressing the brake pedal once.

As I have said before: you do not need to put the car into Ready mode. You just need to power it up by sitting in the seat.

I have the basic MG4 model. I left it for 5 weeks Jan/Feb. Full charged but not plugged in. Still on 100% upon my return. No problem with the 12v battery either.

Yes, it should be fine but word of warning if the 12v Battery is on it's way out, the car will try to top this up from the traction battery. After 2 weeks, i had lost 20% due to the car trying to maintain the 12v battery level, but i must had this was not in a MG, so it may be different.
