Zappi says "Master Lost"

Aaaaand, we're fine. The schedule was completed, the charge didn't drop at all, and Zappi says 3.12 kwh was delivered. That's about £1, so well worth it. The car has put on 5% and 11 miles of range.

I'm not sure it's even worth trying any of the other things. Is it possible it was all being caused by an intermittent issue with the communication between the Zappi and the Eddi, and the shenanigans at the GoZero charger yesterday were pure coincidence? Maybe?

Do you have an Eddi or similar device installed to heat your water etc.?

Master Lost sounds like a communication issue, where the Zappi is looking for the Master device but can’t locate it.

Actually, special thanks for that, because I hadn't made the connection between the words "master lost" and the Eddi. Current thinking, maybe all this (other than the GoZero carry-on) can be explained by glitchy communication between the Zappi and the Eddi. And if so, switching the Eddi off and on again is a pretty easy fix.

Yes, I'm going to do that this afternoon, as soon as I've tried a few things that might illuminate the issue. This is Thursday and the car's birthday in on Monday!

It was my birthday last Friday but I can’t find my warranty certificate anywhere. Do you think it’ll be held by the main dealership like the car’s ?

Glad to hear you appear to have it sorted. Communication between some devices is an absolutely essential part of their functionality, and any break or glitch in the communication can cause all manner of oddities!

Living in an ever increasing smart world is awesome but it does come with its complexities too!

Notes from the hair salon. Given how normally the car and the Zappi behaved this morning, I don't think there's any percentage in trawling the car round other AC chargers today. I'll set it up for an ordinary scheduled charge tonight and hopefully it will be OK. I can still contact the dealer tomorrow if it goes wrong again.
