ZS EV anti theft measures?

Had my ZS EV Gen 1 for two years and almost 20,000 miles.
It was serviced twice by the dealer and had the wiring loom in the drivers door replaced ( know warranty issue ) and recovered to the same dealer, to replace the O/S/R handbrake motor that failed ( warranty job ).
To the best of my knowledge they did NOT replace the fob battery once !.
It did not appear on any of the invoice paper work anyway.
Oh well .............. Maybe they did it FOC ( Yeah - Right ! ).
After all, they did tick the "check box" on the service sheet to say they had changed the engine oil ?.

Put your fob into a faraday pouch then check the lock. It should be locked tight. This is how I check that my pouch is I damaged too.
Sorry you have lost me what has this to do with alarm going off on a ferry?

Nothing - just if one wishes to ensure the tailgate is locked before you leave your car on a ferry, then then this is the method. If you want to disable the alarm, just disconnect the 12V battery but you won’t be able to lock the car…

The alarm will not go off on a ferry when locked no need to disable the alarm
If I was to disable the alarm I would just pull the fuse for it F4 off the top of my head but it's in the manual but I see no reason to disable it

FWIW, IIRC, if you lock the car with the mechanical key, the alarm won't be set.
