MG ZS EV Facelift - Have you ordered?

demonstrators will arrive at dealerships latter in the month (I might be wide of mark here).

I've ordered from Chorley but my local dealer has said they will have a demonstrator on the 22nd, so you are spot on......... maybe, I've booked with them for a drive and a nose around.

Thats called having a choice, and exercising it.

Nothing wrong in that! (y)
I could not agree more !.
"Buy what need, not what you want".
If the SE will suit your needs, then why go for the extras ?.
When the "Newness" of the extra bits have worn away, you still have all that extra range under your belt.
Small pack and all the extras vs less extras and a larger pack ?.
Larger pack every day in my book.

I thought the OTA updates were just for the infotainment system. I'm not sure it includes updates to the BMS.

Anyone know for sure?
Im pretty sure Miles said to the best of his knowledge, all versions would get the OTA updates.
I don't think we'll know until someone actually gets a car what the OTA updates includes.
The "connect" adds hardly anything personally I believe, unless you want Amazon music - but until we know the actual details we won't know if it's £ worth switching from a normal Amazon music subscription to one as part of the "connect".
I believe the vast majority of folk (including myself) would rather use Car Play/Android Auto, so the "connect" seems to be mainly superfluous to requirement.

Just a couple of emails with what was agreed on the phone. and some terms and conditions
I haven't received anything, no emails no follow up calls. £200's out of the credit card but that's pretty much it. I'm sure Martyn is swimming in orders so I am giving him some space before reminding him.

Yes, I have ordered, and to buck the trend of the discussion I am at the basic end of the spectrum. Have gone for an SE in Silver. I appreciate that many people will want the full monty and the higher specs will be better for them, but for my rather simple needs the extras were not really worth it. I am not bothered either way on the sun roof and I don’t really like plastic/faux leather seats or auto wipers (that's my job, bugger off car). The heated wing mirrors were an attraction, and I would like the extra filters too, but on balance there wasn’t enough that mattered to me on the Trophy or Trophy connect to justify the extra. The app, LED lights, some ergonomic changes (e.g. charging flap) and mainly the increased range were the big attractions for me. Process was easy and expected late Feb.
I think I'm in agreement with you.
I had the Gen 1 Exclusive, but there seems to be very little extra in the Trophy over and above the SE that I would consider a must have considering the amount of extra dosh.
In fact the SE looks like a bit of a bargain.

yes ordered a black trophy, dealer thinks its due in January some time (ordered on the 2nd Nov).Unsure of whether to trade in the current ZS EV Exclusive or my my wife is going to have it. Guess we'll decide when we know what they are offering for it.

Hi All great Forum and community here. Yes I am planning to place and order today. It will be my first EV. Black Trophy.
I do hope 0% becomes available in January!

I would add the same - great community that's ended up helping me so much in terms of info. Lurked a long while, but didn't feel I had anything to add with not having bought an MG yet.

Just waiting on confirmation of some of the specs that were asked about in the last podcast, and just feedback in general once Miles and others get to drive the car. Then plan to demo myself and place an order.

Hopefully further info will come soon, as I see on Twitter today first pictures of someone already out test driving it here. It'd be great to know all that the Connect option actually gets you so I can decide whether that option is worth the punt.

Hello, I certainly haven't forgotten about anyone.
Unfortunately my two colleagues have been off due to covid. The official ZS release just happened to coincide!
With an unusually high influx of calls, emails and digital requests compared to a normal week plus all the usual day to day duties etc, it certainly has been a challenge.

I'm getting the orders processed as quickly as possible, the order forms and finance proposals processed by my manager which I have to go through with him. You will receive an email with your order form highlighting all the details.

I've been working eleven hour days (not including an hour and a half commuting) and I'm on day ten tomorrow without a day off to try and catch up.

Trust me I'm doing the best I can for people as I always do.

Thanks

Martyn.

Martyn your work is much appreciated - thank you.
I think everybody appreciates the level of your work commitment you are showing right now Martyn, well done !.
Keep up the great work, hard work should aways be rewarded.
Some other dealers would LOVE to be this busy right now !.
Blame MG for bringing out the range of EV's that are affordable to the average Joe.
An increase of 30% in sales figures this year, has mainly been down to the sale of the EV's from MG.
Something that you may, or may not want to hear though - I think it's only going to get more & more hectic, as even more EV models are brought to the market by MG going forward.
Remember, this is where your future lies my friend.
Embrace the EV change, or get left behind.
Take in a big breath and then take one day at a time.
You can only give 100% - nobody should want or expect any more than that.
Keep up the good work Martyn (y) !.
My son-in-law, who is a financial forecaster, has been working 8.30am until 11.30pm for the last two weeks .
Okay for your pocket, but not good for your health !.

Has anybody ordered this in red? I'll likely go black or silver myself (would've loved a metallic grey), but I am curious what it'll look like with the new front in punchier colour.

I have ordered a red one, to replace the current red one

My current model ZS EV is in Dynamic Red and it's looks great !.
It's a really great colour choice.
Car colour is a very subjective thing really.
What looks great on some models, does not look great on others for some strange reason ?.
I have gone for Battersea Blue in a Trophy trim ( 72 kw/h pack of course ).

I’ve gone for Battersea Blue / Trophy Connect but would have Artic White again if need be.
Only changing from Gen1 Zs EV because regular longer round trips are on the cards.

Similar here.
But I can not say in all honesty, that after covering 16,000 miles in less than two years, with two lock downs on travel plans in force in Wales, that the range on the original ZS EV has restricted our plans in any way.
However after two years of ownership, I am now looking at building in a bit of future proofing with our next purchase of the LR model.
HV batteries will degrade over time fact, so you have to build that bit of redundancy into your requirements.
If you purchase an EV that is at the limit of your usage case when new, then after a few years of use, you are going to find yourself either travelling less miles before charging, or charging more often.
I looked at the extra connect features at about £500 and considered it a unnecessary spend for our usage case.
My Iphone 12 has the ability to provide the majority of the similar functions.
Everybody has different usage cases, it's great that the ZS EV is offering different levels of trim and battery sizes now, to suit different requirements.
