Dreading mine going in next week for service and to fix DC charging issue, what will it be like once complete is anyone's guess. Will emphasise that they need to test both modes of charge before I collect.

You would think they would at least test the ac charging, on mine they added 2% She did mention that it took 9 hours to fix.

Hi,
I got in contact with MG regarding not being able to charge vehicle on DC fast charger and I had to purchase a 3 phase cable to charge vehicle whilst our in longer journeys, mentioned I purchased Trophy version as needed longer distance. Quoted vehicle as not being fit for purpose and they agreed and as a good will gesture told me to order one from dealer and they would pay.

You are a lucky one....they had my car for 2 months & I was lucky to get that back!!😂😂

@tsedge mine will be going in for a new under tray when the part arrives, I'm currently on R40 but having a few Carplay and Bluetooth issues.

MG have agreed to update my car however I really don't want to lose the ability to limit a DC charge so I will hold off until it's clear which updates are causing the issues you're having.

If you wouldn't mind please let me know if you find out and I hope yours is sorted soon.

Thank you

I'll post all updates here, as soon as there is news.

I'm very interested in this too.

Mine doesn't charge properly on AC now. Car keeps aborting the charge. Booked in with dealer.
This sounds like the same problem we’ve been experiencing benflugel. I recommend asking your dealer to thoroughly test the AC charging after installing software updates. Just sticking it on for say half an hour, will not let them know whether or not it’s working properly. I had the updates done first and the car was “tested”, but when I brought it home it only worked for a short period and thus I had to take it back where it was discovered it needed a new CCU.

Been monitoring vehicle via Ismart whilst in dealership, they must have put it on AC charger yesterday evening as it gradually charged to 100%. Not sure if they have tried DC charger as no contact from them so far.

Thank you.

I've asked them to keep hold of it and test it properly. They're giving me a courtesy car too.

I sat in the car last night whilst it was charging. After 15 minutes it came up with "charge aborted" and an exclamation mark over the cable image. The Zappi logs says the charge was complete. It was at 86%.

I also plugged it in via the granny 3 pin plug charger. It lasted almost 2 hours on that then stopped prematurely.

Mine is going in tomorrow for the AC charging fault, the Apple CarPlay bug & the driver door handle button for keyless entry not working. I don't think there's anything else glaringly obvious for them to look at.

I'll be sure to tell them DC charging works fine. AC charging does not work tried various different chargers) and granny charger doesn't work. I don't want to fobbed off with software updates so hoping to push for CCU change.

Ok, am booked in for Wed and Thu next week.

They want the car for two days to run tests and analyse the results with MG's technical centre.

They believe it is a problem with the software updates, so they are going to step through and retest to see if this is a one off or something that needs an additional fix.

MG's view is it is most likely a problem with the updates applying cleanly, so they are confident of a solution.

I am actually reassured that they want to take two days to go over it thoroughly.
