Dreading mine going in next week for service and to fix DC charging issue, what will it be like once complete is anyone's guess. Will emphasise that they need to test both modes of charge before I collect.
You would think they would at least test the ac charging, on mine they added 2% She did mention that it took 9 hours to fix.Dreading mine going in next week for service and to fix DC charging issue, what will it be like once complete is anyone's guess. What is this free charging cable from MG?Car dropped off, hopefully all issues will be resolved. Ask them to check both AC and DC charging and also to order the free charging cable as a good will gesture from MG
You are a lucky one....they had my car for 2 months & I was lucky to get that back!!??Hi,
I got in contact with MG regarding not being able to charge vehicle on DC fast charger and I had to purchase a 3 phase cable to charge vehicle whilst our in longer journeys, mentioned I purchased Trophy version as needed longer distance. Quoted vehicle as not being fit for purpose and they agreed and as a good will gesture told me to order one from dealer and they would pay.
No, I have an email from the dealer saying they will be in touch today to book the car in again. There's been a few days delay waiting for MG to respond.@tsedge have MG resolved it yet ?
I'll post all updates here, as soon as there is news.@tsedge mine will be going in for a new under tray when the part arrives, I'm currently on R40 but having a few Carplay and Bluetooth issues.
MG have agreed to update my car however I really don't want to loose the ability to limit and DC charge so will hold off until it's clear which updates are causing the issues your having.
If you wouldn't mind please let me know if you find out and I hope yours is sorted soon.
Thank you
This sounds like the same problem we’ve been experiencing benflugel. I recommend asking your dealer to thoroughly test the AC charging after installing software updates. Just sticking it on for say half an hour, will not let them know whether or not it’s working properly. I had the updates done first and the car was “tested”, but when I brought it home it only worked for a short period and thus I had to take it back where it was discovered it needed a new CCU.I'm very interested in this too.
Mine doesn't charge properly on AC now. Car keeps aborting the charge. Booked in with dealer.
