The MG4 EV is a battery electricsmall family car (C-segment) produced by the Chinese automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor under the British MG marque. First released in June 2022 as the MG Mulan in China, it is the first vehicle to be based on SAIC's battery electric Modular Scalable Platform (marketed as the Nebula platform in China). It was introduced in Europe as the MG4 EV in July 2022.
Used this today in Cheltenham, a machine boasting "UP TO 175kW".
Charged from 36 to 97%.
Didn't see any prices on the machine or the screen.
After we unplugged, I checked our account and there were two payments taken, the first one for £45.00 and the second for £35.48.
I guess the first...
I tried to bind the phone to the app but I get the message that the camera permission needs to be granted. However, in the app permissions, access to the camera is ok.
Thanks
Done bloke looking ?. Have seen posts including start up error messages that clear with reset or reboot ( or patience), but can't find this one.
I didn't bother with the autohold feature for the first couple of months after taking delivery but then thought I'd give it a go. Got used to it and...
I just spoke to Caffyns MG in Ashford Kent, to ask if there was a more up to date software release than R33 on my 23 reg Trophy. Amazingly they asked if there was a fault on the system and I said no, I just want the latest software. The answer was that if there wasn't a fault, they couldn't do...
Has anyone else had the issue of not seeing the bind button in the car settings when trying to connect the iSmart app? I've just got a new MG4 and am unable to use iSmart because of this. I've watched lots of YouTube videos but the button simply isn't where it should be.
So last week I tried charging at Tesla’s Supercharger station in Lifton, en route for Cornwall. Despite trying two different chargers, neither worked. The chargers were all fully functioning.
Contacted MG customer services who denied there is a compatibility issue; called Tesla however who...
Range estimate variability. Thought I'd post some actual data to show how much it can vary (and why).
The chart below shows the Normalised Range Estimate calculated at various times over the past four months:
Normalised Range Estimate is the range estimate if the car at the time had 100%...
I’ve seen a few references to new MG4s in China and maybe Europe already have or will have larger infotainment screens - 12.3 inches.
Does anyone have one of these new screens and if so are they more responsive to touch than the original screens?
Thanks
Hello everyone. Can someome tell me what the dull thud is coming from the right back of my car is when going over speedbumps. Doesnt happen everytime, mostly going downhill over speedbumps. Only 300 kilometers on the dash.
Edit: tried adding video. It is not working. Anyone know how to send...
So I picked up my "new" (one previous owned) car at the weekend - a red MG4 Trophy LR - 2023 #TeamRed - had 4,800 miles already.
Really happy so far - loving the ride. Have a longer (190 mile round trip) next weekend, and wondering if it'll do the whole thing without a charge or not. We will...
I have a MG4 2023 standard range. My charging cable is working intermittently so I need to buy a new one, but don't know if I need a normal one or 3 phase? There is a cost difference. Is the 3 phase better?
Used ismart today to try and cool the car prior to leaving for home. Heard the hvac running as I walked up to the car but it didn’t feel particularly cold when I got in and the 10 minutes was nearly up.
I’d driven early this morning when it was chillier and to eke out some miles, had turned...
Don't know if this has come up before, but I have a choice of 3 chargers at Tesco near me, 50kW, 22kW, and 7kW. Obviously the slower you choose the cheaper it is.
So yesterday I wasn't in a rush to I opted for the 22kW which is 49p. However, it only delivered at 7kW. Had I know this I would...
My car was in to the dealer recently where they updated various modules of the car. After that I noticed that the the four charging lights on the charger door are no longer lighting up in any condition. It also seems the car won't fast charge on a CCS charger above 50 KW, I was trying to charge...
Well 28k miles on the original f/f Continental's, no real gripe's but the rears will have to be replaced soon.
Any recommendations as to replacement's?
1. Should I always use the hand brake or the parking P on the gear wheel?
2. In traffic lights, should I go to neutral N or keep D position while keeping the brake engaged? What if I am using "one pedal", should I change from D to N?
Thanks
