wheel
A wheel is a circular component that is intended to rotate on an axle bearing. The wheel is one of the key components of the wheel and axle which is one of the six simple machines. Wheels, in conjunction with axles, allow heavy objects to be moved easily facilitating movement or transportation while supporting a load, or performing labor in machines. Wheels are also used for other purposes, such as a ship's wheel, steering wheel, potter's wheel, and flywheel.
Common examples can be found in transport applications. A wheel reduces friction by facilitating motion by rolling together with the use of axles. In order for wheels to rotate, a moment needs to be applied to the wheel about its axis, either by way of gravity or by the application of another external force or torque. Using the wheel, Sumerians invented a device that spins clay as a potter shapes it into the desired object.
So having the new Mg Zs ev Trophy model, the plastic wheel trims are quite fiddly to get off if you need to change a wheel for puncture’s etc.
Being in the cold weather, the plastic to me feels like it would break if to much pressure is given.
As anyone tried taking them off yet.
I have noticed the steering wheel tilt mechanism feels slightly loose when locked in position and it still moves/clicks slightly up and down. My local MG service centre took a look and said this is normal. Has anyone else noticed this? and if so can it be fixed. Thanks
I will shortly (I hope) be upgrading to a new LR ZSev. I have a spare wheel in my current car and will want one in the new one. Does anybody know if it will fit or do I need to shell out on a new one?
Hi,
I have a spare wheel kit available, unused - it just sat in the back of the car for the 10 months of our ownership. Located in Lincoln, looking for £200.
Cheers - Rob
I tried to use the button on the bottom right hand side of the steering wheel which I thought was voice control for the phone
has anyone any idea what it is for as nothing happened when I pressed it?
Hi all
Just received my full size spare wheel (from an Audi)
The tyre is a 205/50/16
The wheel is a 6.5” x 16”
It fits in the boot spot on with the boot floor lifted to top position
(Mg5 LR)
Cheers
😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello,
Has anyone ever replaced the wheel arch and/or the bit between the grill and bonnet.
I damaged the wheel arch the other day and the other bit about a year ago and thinking of repairing them.
Was it easy and how do you do it. I have used a guide book before on another vehicle but can’t...
I've driven hundred miles so I'm just getting used to the 5lr. Whilst turning into a carpark, turning left and apply slight accelerator at about walking speed a wheel spun which I've never experienced in an ice.
Is this normal? Road is damp 8c.
I am new to the MG community forum but have followed discussions/podcasts over several months and remember some correspondence regarding obtaining temporary spare wheel kits from sources other than MG at significant savings. Can anyone advise details of these compatible items?
With the boot floor in the Exclusive raised to its higher position, there appears to be a lot more space where normally you would fit a space saver wheel. My question is, I wonder, is there sufficient space to fit a complete normal wheel as a spare, not a space saver one?
Maybe there is another...
Hi all anyone ordered a space saver spare wheel for their new zs l/r dealer said they are £250, I know when I ordered one for my Kia it came with a kit to secure it in boot, and a tool kit and jack for£200, any one done better cheers.
Spare wheel ZS EV. I couldn't source an MG 'genuine' space saver spare locally in Australia, and I think the absence of a spare is a significant shortcoming particularly if you mostly drive on rural roads. So after doing a bit of 'google research' I think I've solved it. I got a VW Golf MK5...

ZS EV Space saver spare wheel and tool kit for the ZS EV, brand new and unused. £135.
Heavy, so would prefer local pick up From DN37 area, but will post it to you at cost if you twist my arm a bit...
If one of you miserable lot don't buy it soon, it's going on ebay for £160!! lol!! ;)
I love my MG5 EV, but after a lifetime in motorsport I don't really like the 205 60 16 wheel and tyre arrangement fitted as standard.
After a bit of research it seemed that VAG 5x112 wheels would fit and having found a set fitted with 205 50 17s for £100, the seller let me try them on to make...
