The windshield (North American English) or windscreen (Commonwealth English) of an aircraft, car, bus, motorbike, truck, train, boat or streetcar is the front window, which provides visibility while protecting occupants from the elements. Modern windshields are generally made of laminated safety glass, a type of treated glass, which consists of, typically, two curved sheets of glass with a plastic layer laminated between them for safety, and bonded into the window frame.
Motorcycle windshields are often made of high-impact polycarbonate or acrylic plastic.

    Is it normal that when in reverse, the rear windscreen wiper doesn't function? Today when leaving work I needed to clear the rear windscreen, but to do so I need to go back into neutral. Not the first time I've noticed, but seems like a flaw in the system. Is this the same with everyone else?

    I washed my MG5 for the first time today and found that the passenger side wiper scraps the rear edge of the bonnet when lifting it up to wash the windscreen. The pivot end of the arm is too wide. I guess this is a right hand drive conversion design issue. Any one else found this ?
