When connecting any dongle for wireless car play / Android play.
It’s important you go into the dongle settings usually with an ip address of 192.168.1.101 it’s important you go to delay in the settings and change it from default to a 60 second delay. Once you do that every time you enter the car wireless car play / Android play will connect automatically every time. If you do not put this delay in you will have to remove the dongle and reinsert for it to work.

Thanks for this - I did not have this information with my dongle purchased from Temu, but I managed to log into it by plugging it into a power bank and then choosing its wireless network using my laptop.
It took me a few attempts to get the password, which in the end was 12345678. I had a dropdown box to set the delay which had been 0 - I set it to 30 and will see how it goes. The firmware was confirmed as being up to date.

Previously, it had connected most times, but occasionally needed to be pulled and reinserted, which was a bit annoying. Also, voice doesn't seem to work very well with the MG at all :( it was flawless in my previous car (Mazda)
