Anyone using car battery to power house ?

...and, is it obvious that it's the duty of the car manufacturer or the V2L device manufacturer? (I bought mine from MGTitan, from memory).

I'd say vehicle manufacturer - that is, in effect, the power generator and the part that determines how the power is delivered and any limited protection it provides. The V2L lead is usually little more than a plug and socket, some wire and a resistor.

Someone posted on a local MG4 FB page their experience with a V2L adapter bought from MGTitan. They were getting 160 V AC output and power output was severely limited. Had one of those stupid universal sockets to fit plugs from various countries. Piece of crap IMO.

Seems fine to me. I have run a variety of high consumption white goods (oven, tumble drier, washing machine) from it and they have all worked flawlessly.
