Normally we inly charge at home but have strayed away for a break. Whilst at a fast charger we noticed a non-MG charging alongside with the driver sat in. Can we do this! Is it considered "safe practice"?
That is not correct. You can easily charge the car unlockedYou need to lock the car to start the charge but you can then get into it
Yes totally and it is quite a common practice at rapid chargers. If you don't need the toilet or a drink etc then you may as well sit in the car.Normally we inly charge at home but have strayed away for a break. This used to be the case at some charging stations a year or two ago. Most likely due to software compatibility back then. You need to lock the car to start the charge but you can then get into it
We went to the Cotswolds and based at the Premier Inn A40 Cheltenham which had a Shell (avec Waitrose) next door. We didn't have any issues charging while sitting inside, save for it slowing up @ around 95%. Having said that, it was still darned quick.I had the problem at Shell @ Waitrose Southend in Feb
