I can confirm the water intake bit. Age 17, going through a ford too fast and the engine stopped in an instant.
Astonishingly, given the conrod is connected by a circle at both ends so there can be no bending force, it bent the conrod by compression alone. Why nothing else went first I've no idea.
£35 quid and a few days solid work saw a lesson learnt very quickly.
