Therefore, my car was already bound to my account because I must have used the phone number login when I originally bound the car with the old app.
Exactly what I've been saying for ages :)
MG do not make it clear that you have to stick to either email user name or mobile number user name, otherwise you create two accounts.
Once you've first logged in via your original login, you can subsequently use either method. (At least I can).
 
Hi, my TBOX was replaced because of mainly 2 things: intermittent connection issues causing the SOS and ecall faults ; secondly the GPS in my car was not working, the navigation was always showing the wrong location or static at one place.

After swapping the TBOX, the GPS is working fine, but the app is not scanning the QR code now. I know I should not have unbind the car which was my mistake.

When I try to bind the car now, It always says 'service is not available, please try again later'. I am not sure if this issue is due to the new Tbox or the new app. The dealer is saying it is due to the new App and asking me to wait for new a update on the app as MG is working on it.

I can't argue as the timing of new TBOX and new app exactly coincided for me!
Me, I have no issues to bind the car. As I said in an another post, it looks like the privacy settings make some trouble but everything is checked on the car settings.
And car and account are bound cause I can send travel plans

Fun fact : I try some tricks to solve my issue, including a delete and create account and after some fails, go back home.
I checked my wife app and it was disconnected.
So, I logged and it unlogged me from my account. The only link between them was the digital key wich was remoded thurday after the TBOX swap.

So, I think it was maybe the problem, a miscommunication with the two account. So I deleted my wife account and try again, FAILED !

So I deleted my account for the fifth time and create a new one for my wife and a new one with me.

I'm done for now, will let you know if my dealer have some intels or if I have a feedback from MG Motor Europe Tech center...

I'm waiting some news from my dealer and send a mail to MG tech support ([email protected])
i'm so frustrated...


Your TBOX was swap for the same reason ?
I (already) got a feedback from technical support

They said I need to go back to my dealer and Ask them to perform the swap on SIPS. I search for SIPS and it's "SAIC Integrated Program System.

I'll call them tomorrow to do that

After several weeks of uninstalling/reinstalling plus attempted binding etc, etc the ismart 2 finally came to life today after another reinstalling without any binding required. The set-up clearly has a mind of its own and won't be hurried. Just keep plodding away.
 
Hello.
Yesterday, my car was "unbound" from my account and when I take my car today, it looks like I wasn't linked to my account but, some information remained connected.

When I try to bound, new message : "Vehicle does not exist".

Can't wait to go to my dealership tomorrow to fix all of these things...

Problem solve after TBOX swap perform in SIPS

And they perform an update for my TBOX just in case

You and your wife should not have different accounts - you should use the same account details on different phones and then it will switch over, logging the other one out when one logs in.

I don't believe the car supports multiple personal accounts.

She never uses my car. She only needs to get access when she arrives at the car first.

When I got the car she started using my account, but it bothered me because I have to log in every time.
Now she has her own account and can use the digital key whenever she wants.

It would be great if the car could manage multiple accounts.

I have an MG4 and have also struggled with new software binding and unbinding. Today, result. I logged on using my phone number (without zero) rather than my email. Must have done this at the start. Bingo.
I have actually remained bound throughout but until I swapped back to phone number I was blocked.
 
Exactly what I've been saying for weeks ... use the ORIGINAL ACCOUNT you set up in the app and all should be OK. If you're being asked to bind your (previously bound) car then you're logged in to the wrong account. It really is that simple. :)

Why MG lost the linkage between email and phone I've no idea, but that seems to be the root of peoples' issue.
 
Since the upgrade of the iSmart app before Christmas, I have been unable to Bind my MG ZS EV. I have deleted and reloaded the app, Switched my iPhone off and restarted all to no avail.... Any ideas would be gratefully received....

had the same problem with my MG ZS but with Android. I deleted the app from my phone, re-installed it, then logged into the app using my phone number rather than my e-mail address. Went to the car, scanned the QR and it worked. Good luck. PS other things I tried....accepting all the terms and conditions using the button on the app, on the phone agreeing the app had full permissions.

Is your display set to "auto" or "dark" mode?
The 2nd (correct) code won't show if that's the case.
 
As Siteguru will tell you, (through gritted teeth) if you had bound the car before you do not need to bind it again. You are logging into/creating another account. Are you sure you used the email address to bind the car originally and not a telephone number? Have you accepted the T&C's on the login page - I had to do it again after the app logged me out even though I had done it before. You need to zoom out on an apple phone because it does display usually. Have you tried another device?

Have you read through all the posts and tried all the options out forward?

If it's a brand new car then follow what @WonkoTheSaneUK is saying; if it's an existing car and you're being asked to bind after updating the app then follow what @Martinonline is saying. :)
