If you have Android back-up on your phone all of your contacts will be stored in the cloud and will download onto a new phone when you sign in to your Gmail account.I'm not really sure. I have a memory from a few months ago when I went through my texting history storing people's numbers as contacts that it said something about the latest contacts not being synched, and I had little idea what it meant by that. After that there was the occasional message about synching contacts, then it stopped. I've been through settings and tried to open everything to Yes, but it still doesn't work.
OK, I have just discovered that the contacts are stored on the phone, not the SIM. That's something, anyway.

When the dealer helped you to bind your phone to the car did he ask for your phone number or email address and a password?I have no idea. The app just opens when I tap it. I have to use a PIN to get it to make the car do anything, but I don't have to log in.
You'll need both to sign back into the iSmart app on the new phone.
