MG4 ambient lighting - OEM Look

Hi there,
I am looking forward to getting my MG4, but I also would like to have ambient lighting. So I went on a search, and besides the normal standard kits that fit all cars and just squeeze inside the panel gaps, I came across a TikTok account that seems to offer a very OEM-looking solution:




Does anyone have more information about this or knows where to buy it? Or is this just a very well installed standard kit?

I do like the look of it on the doors.

The problem with the kit from this post is that it´s one of these universal kits (see pictures). While it might look decent in the pictures I have seen a lot of installations that just look very poor when you sit in the vehicle in person and in that case I would rather prefer having no fancy lighting at all instead of a very poor looking solution.

I think it really depends on the kit your are using but I guess there is only one way to find out - To actually do it. I also think it is much easier to make it look good when you only attach it to straight lines in the car (dashboard would be an example).

So I think I am going for it when I get my car and I will also post it.

I don't now I did my car made by a store. It cost around 200 dollars

Wow, that’s quite a fair price! I also asked for a quote for something quite similar to yours (also from a professional shop), and they quoted me 800–1,000 euros.

Average incomes are probably a lot lower in Turkey compared to Germany, so labour rates will also be much lower. For examole, in Cyprus, my motorcycle (main dealer) dealer charges €30 per hour for any work, same for my car dealer. In the UK it was around €120/hr a few years ago for example.
