The current model MG4 is no longer available to order from the factory for the UK RHD market.

There is still stock on the water, heading to the UK by the end of this year. There is also stock already with dealer partners in the UK, so if you have a car on order, it will still be arriving as planned. It is expected that stock will run out in early 2026.

The ceasing of production of the MG4 is in anticipation of new products which will be unveiled in the New Year.

Watch this space!
Has there been any indication of stocking levels of MG4 specific spare parts and for what time scale they would be available ?. Would some be interchangeable with future models ( brake calliper's /discs for example) ? 🤷‍♂️

As long as it has the factory tinted rear windows that the first couple of batches had in error! Maybe I will keep mine a bit longer then 🤔
Mine did have them ... until Storm Eowyn earlier this year where the rear windscreen got smashed. When it was repaired the rear screen per the VIN was fitted, which was a clear one (even though I'd specifically told them that the Trophy rear screen was needed). 🙄

The rear passenger windows are still tinted though. :)

So a bit of an oddball, then. Probably worth more. 😉🙂👍

Well I was going to change into another car in January but may wait to see what the new model looks like . My PCP is up in November 26 so the timing might be spot on

Previously, MG said they were going to:

- Introduce the new "MG4" China version as a low-cost FWD built-to-a-cost version in the UK/EU. To tackle the Dacia market (i.e. sub-£20k list price).

- Retain the existing UK/EU "MG4" RWD/4WD premium car with a completely refreshed interior to bring it up to date and on a par with MGS5/S6. Probably retaining the £25-30k list price point.

It's possible they will have different model names in the UK (MG2 / MG4) or that they will both be badged MG4 and differentiated in another way.

It is highly unlikely they will dump the existing MG4 design because that has sold really well over here and also has all sorts of premium equipment / extras / spec that European buyers expect in their cars.

That said, MG change their mind a lot, so we might be completely surprised, including a completely fresh new model coming in somewhere.

I suppose if the IM brand is going to expand into smaller cars, it might make sense to push the MG4 down-market so as not to compete.

Remember SAIC announced their "Glocal 3.0" strategy back in April

"MG is announced to launch the next-gen MG4 EV soon, providing master experience in the field of space, sun protection, intelligent driving, endurance, and safety. “Small size delivers big impact,” the new MG4 EV will redefine compact electric excellence." 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

WOW! Sounds impressive. We'll see. 🙂👍
