FWIW both the motor and the gearboxes are different, it's not just software controlled. The motor windings are different as is the ratio for the gearbox. What I don't know is whether the gearbox casing is different or just the gears, and then whether that's just diameter or width as well.

I'd still love to know where that info comes from. I asked previously but just got an ambiguous answer which pointed to one of your earlier forum posts stating this but not referencing anything. Help would be appreciated if you have the answer/links....
