MG4 Reviews from various online publications

I see what you mean. That's a bit odd. Because there are lots of our cars that don't have a bulge at all. And lots that have a much bigger bulge than average.

Yes, mine has a large concave indent on the rear panel behind the gaps that have warped between the fixings. As the specialist who inspected my car put it "A product quality issue"

MG really need to start telling the journalists about the right hand joystick functions.
That's (more or less) exactly what I commented on that video. ;)
There is usually an information pack but the way these press day tests work is a bunch of journos have to share a car taking turns to cram in all their filming/reviewing into a short period of time.

It isn't like they get a day with an MG guide, it is far more compressed than that. Normally this only allows for an initial reaction and then they read the info later.

Of course a good journalist would do research in advance and edit corrections into the video but there's enormous pressure to be the first to post to get views.

The review in question implied that he had the car for quite some time, given (from memory) he mentioned different driving scenarios and the kWh/100km efficiencies he got over notable distances in each scenario. So I don't think all press reviews are held the same way - launch day, yes, but not later reviews.

Ok, fair enough, I thought it was launch day over there but maybe I am wrong about that.

Indeed.
  • "First look" means reviewers got maybe 30-60 minutes with the car.
  • "Full" reviews may mean they have the car for a day to a week.
  • "Long Term" reviews mean they've had the car for a month or three.

Might be this guy -- who evidently got a lemon, which MG didn't fix.

Don’t patronise me or try to excuse MG with the “lemon” nonsense.
There were (are) a lot of lemon MG4s out there.

I'm sorry but please can you explain to someone who cannot understand why you need to include a video which does not, to my thinking, add anything to what you have written.
