To clarify, as far as I know, it is not known how to access the hidden menu on the SE, only the Trophy. Thus, I surmise the Trophy code cannot be guaranteed to work if access to a keypad becomes known.

Don't use the white screen at night, set mode to auto and the screen will darken - it's still too bright IMO, even then... but less blinding than day mode.

Or if the screen is flicking annoyingly into dark mode when the lights come on in daylight (see elsewhere for how to fix that), simply switch manually to dark mode when it gets dark. Some people like to run in dark mode all the time.

Dark mode all the time makes the two screens match much better and it is still easily visible in the day. The lack of auto brightness adjustment is a shame as is the driver's screen not going dim enough for night work.

If you mean the centre screen, then swipe down from the top of the screen on the right hand side (and left, I think, but not near the centre as that brings up the HVAC controls) and you will get a selection of controls. There is one for the brightness of the screen.

Also, as others have said, there is also a dark mode, which is what I use all the time.
