I have MG 4 Standard 51 kWh, 2024 model.
My dealer updated the MPU from R33 to R40, but my MCU is still version 69.3.8.0

Do you know what changes are included in the newer MCU versions?
Also, how can I convince them to update the MCU as well?

but if you're not experiencing 'Bluetooth pairing issues' why a) would you want a software update and b) Lie?

If there are no issues, there's no point in a software update.

There are two equally valid approaches.

The first is: “If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it!” This helps avoid unwanted bugs, but at the same time, you miss out on the latest upgrades.

The second is: “If there’s a new version, there’s a reason for it.”

When the MG4 was launched, over-the-air updates were promised, but they never actually materialised. I feel that we are entitled to have an up-to-date car.

Same as with the R40: some minor cosmetic enhancements and tweaks and Bluetooth pairing issues have been resolved.

Keyboard for Sat Nav is much better. The R40 size was a joke.

As far as Bluetooth pairing is going, it's paired but now I'm not seeing it playing on the screen (however the buttons to move backwards forward, volume etc are working).

Cannot see anything obvious what has changed. At least now 21oC is c.21oC and not needing 25oC

When I was referring to R40, I actually meant the 1100R40 (designed for the SE), which was released last month at the same time as R67.

The previous versions were 1100R38 for the SE and 1300R65 for the Trophy, respectively.
