The very earliest MG4s in the UK have only just turned 3, so no-one knows and MG haven't said yet.Anyone got any info, what happens after 5 years, when esim expires? I don't see any paid options offered for now.

Why worry about tomorrow's problem when there are problems today! The very earliest MG4s in the UK have only just turned 3, so no-one knows and MG haven't said yet.
Reporting back as promised. Despite me booking in earlier in the year specifically requesting that the software was updated I got the "we haven't got the time to update the software" from Drive MG. The car was serviced and MOT'd but I am very disappointed that they have yet again failed to do the software updates.
Unfortunately, after sales is not MG strong point overall in the UK. I learned that the hard way, and it's lead me to invest in my own personal adapter just to keep it updated. On the plus side, updating it has improve the vehicle experience.Mg4 is a really cool car, I love how it looks and drives, but wow, the service experience is something else!Dealing with them feels like a never-ending quest for basic information. I've had to explain my issue multiple times, and it feels like they're not really listening. Honestly, I'm starting to think getting the car was the easy part, and the service is the real challenge.

Why do I feel that would have the same affect as writing to my MPSend an official complaint to MG.
Are these faults still there after they serviced the car?I already have, the car has obvious faults, charging to 100% all the time not staying in battery health mode and atriangle on the dash for a fault that has been there for most of the year.
Then I would be wanting to change dealers and go elsewhere.I already have, the car has obvious faults, charging to 100% all the time not staying in battery health mode and atriangle on the dash for a fault that has been there for most of the year.
The fault that generates the triangle is (driver alertness system failure), and they have stated "The charging issue will be fixed with a software update".Are these faults still there after they serviced the car?
It's the same thing, tried communicating to MG UK directly in writing and it lead them to say "it's not our problem, looking around for other MG service station". And the funny part is they can't even recommend a garage. Why do I feel that would have the same affect as writing to my MP![]()
I don't think it just about the money. Most of the MG technicians I have spoken with don't have prior knowledge of vehicle.Already done, it doesn't change anything. The dealer told me that MG systematically refuses to cover repairs. That's why they refuse to do the updates — because they never get paid
It take MG UK about a months to give you their conclusion, and at best to shop around. It won't resolve a thing as MG dealership are a franchise, not main dealership.Send an official complaint to MG.
Your servicing must be by mileage, rather than annually @Tight Git, 60k is a decent mileage.Well I had my 60k mile 4th service today and they finally did the LKA SC0077 update, which they failed to do when it was last serviced in February, despite them claiming it had been done when I collected it.
Yes - always over 15k a year.Your servicing must be by mileage, rather than annually @Tight Git, 60k is a decent mileage.![]()
