MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Guess we are getting pretty common. My weirdest ‘happening’ was a few weeks ago when driving my orange ER on a minor road in Norfolk - the B1145 near Gt. Massingham. I passed another orange trophy coming the other way and then, about a minute later, a second one came the other way. Norfolk must be infested!

How many have been sold now?

An even split between SE's and Trophy's. The real exclusive then is the Trophy extended range.
Whether all that has changed in the last 11 months, we'll have to wait for the new figures to be released.

That will be 850 ER’s I picked up mine September ‘24😀.

It puzzles me a bit. How many are sorned. Why would you Sorn such a new car.

I can think of many reasons for SORNing an ICE - like being abroad for 3 months, long wait for parts / repair, or maybe only need 2 cars in a family for certain times of year etc.

But as EV's were (until this April) VED free, I wonder what a SORN would gain?... Maybe insurance related if not in use for a while?

I assumed that the SORN were cars that had been written off but then purchased in the hope of fixing them in the future.

No knowledge of this happening but I couldn't think of any other reason to SORN an EV.

People SORN cars because they aren’t using them, lots of reasons why. I’m surprised so few are. The records for the MG SV XPower are more interesting 🤓

Classic car owners or owners of cars they only take out in the dry often SORN their cars during the winter when they aren't using them

Spotted in Morrisons Dumfries today, a white SE with a DS reg.
Also last Wednesday, a Camden Grey that pipped me to the charge post at Gardenwise garden centre in Dumfries. TBH, it makes sense I would spot this as we were are both from the same stables, James Haugh MG.😁
MG4's at gardenwise may '25.webp
