This is why it would be so much better if we had OTA updates like so many other manufacturers. don't have to battle the dealers then.
An update following my first annual service. All systems updated including R46 infotainment. All or most of my troubles have vanished:Thanks for the update - I look forward to the upgrade that my dealer said wasn't available (I notice you are in the NL though). Did you have an issue with power reducing when battery falling below 25% SOC? If so, has this been resolved too?
Hi would you able to share the email? What did you ask them? I'm worried they will charge me for this update ?Wanted to throw my 2 cents in. Sent an email to MG aftersales this morning enquiring about a software update (I'm currently running R33), they've come back pretty sharpish and booked my car in for next Friday to have this updated. Apparently this is classed as a recall!
I know I saw some rumours about a recall and the LKA (ELK) system but I guess this confirms it...
It wasn't anything spectacular, I enquired as I understand my current system (R33) wasn't the most up to date available and to see if I could get it updated.Hi would you able to share the email? What did you ask them? I'm worried they will charge me for this update ?
Thank you
I have this (I think). I have R59 and it looks like you can now turn the LKA to be alert only so that it doesn’t use the emergency assist. Unless I’ve read that wrong as the update…I can get a picture to add to this next time I’m in the car.I'll be really interested to hear when (and if) someone actually gets this legendary update that tames the LKA.
Do you mean without it resetting the setting every drive? You could always change this, but it would reset next time.I have this (I think). That makes sense then. It still does reset every time, so alas, it is not the legendary patch we are waiting forDo you mean without it resetting the setting every drive? You could always change this, but it would reset next time.
Also I don't believe this has anything to do with R59, that provides a more convenient way to turn it off, but the LKA sensitivity patch is going to be an update we all receive a letter about and I don't think it is out yet.
It will never be able to keep that setting, it would lose the 5 stars NCAP. What they could do is quick load various settings, creating a user profileThat makes sense then. It still does reset every time, so alas, it is not the legendary patch we are waiting for![]()
Yes, I believe the patch is intended to fix it so we don't need to ever turn it off. We will see.It will never be able to keep that setting, it would lose the 5 stars NCAP. What they could do is quick load various settings, creating a user profile
Agreed in that if they don’t allow it to be auto turned off, the profile creation is the easy solution. We opt in to have it turned off on an individual basis, therefore our choice and liability. Should be easy to do that if not a straight off and remember approach. It will never be able to keep that setting, it would lose the 5 stars NCAP.
